As you move through our site you’ll notice quite a few links to other important websites.  We hope you’ll have time to visit some of these sites especially ones related to shipping and changes in the rules regarding how you can receive your wine.  We are advocates of the unlimited distribution of wine, to legal age wine consumers, regardless of where you reside.

Along with the fog, our other inspiration was the real fact that the hills around us are some of the most active seismic areas in the country.  Take a look at recent “ground shakin’” activity at the USGS site.  We’re right in the middle of the biggest grouping of activity in northern California.

The inspiration for our wine labels comes directly from the views we experience around our family vineyard.  The view above is typical of an early spring or early fall morning as the fog is retreating back down the valley.  It is this cooling fog that creates the excellent growing conditions in the Alexander Valley.  The climactic contrast between the clear warm days and the cool nights is what makes our grapes truly world class.

 

As winemakers all we have to worry about is not messing up what nature has provided for us!

We thank you for visiting our site and we hope you will taste our wines and come to love them as much as we do.  We produce small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Viognier, and we make an Estate Blend (“Paden’s Patch Red”) whenever the conditions warrant it.

We don’t have a public tasting room, at this time, so the only way we can share our wines with you is through this website or by giving us a call.  Please feel free to contact us through whichever medium is most comfortable for you.  The shipping laws are changing every day so we will be able to ship to more of you as time goes by.
